The Science Department at Sherburn High School is the proud owner of 15 Data Harvest Vision data loggers which they would love your pupils to take advantage of. The lab. technicians Joan, Sophie and Helen are able to visit your school bringing the loggers and all the equipment required.
The workshop is primarily aimed at Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, with an optimal size of 15 pupils, this allows each child to have sole use of a touch screen VISION data logger.
The activities are designed to be educational, inspirational and fun, involving pupils from the planning stages through the execution and results analysis.
We are able to log: light, temperature, sound and heart rate and also have ramps and timing switches to investigate the effects of gradient and friction on a vehicle.
SHS would be happy to visit for full or part days and are able to lead sessions, giving the pupils a ‘taste’ of data logging or support you in using the loggers for fuller investigations. Alternatively, the loggers are available for loan, just ask!
