Newly Qualified Teacher Development Programme

We firmly believe that continued support and development in the first year of teaching plays a vital part in teacher retention and well-being, as well as contributing to our pupil outcomes.
The aspiration of Teaching School Alliances in North Yorkshire is for all NQTs across the region to have access to the same high-quality support and training to support them in the important first year of teaching. As one of eight Primary Teaching School Alliances in North Yorkshire we have worked with the others to produce a blueprint for NQT support, which will underpin all NQT provision delivered by Teaching Schools in the group.
The STAR TSA NQT programme will aim to build on the shared core programme with bespoke elements to best support the cohort and context of NQTs in our area.
