An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the work of our Teaching School Alliance. This will develop our strategy to provide a range of school improvement services including continuing professional development, initial teacher training, and school-to-school support.
The STAR Teaching School Alliance serves schools in the Sherburn-in-Elmet and Tadcaster region of North Yorkshire. Working as our Alliance Director you will co-ordinate partnership working across all member schools, providing leadership of strategic planning for all our workstreams. This will involve working alongside the TSA Manager and meeting with headteachers, governors and partner organisations to ensure that we achieve the priorities on our agreed plan. Understanding education, and the improvement needs of the sector is important. You will need excellent communication skills and be able to meet agreed deadlines.
The post is based at Athelstan Primary School, although there is the expectation that some duties will take place in other locations and so access to transport will be required. It may be possible to work from home for some of the time. Resources to support this will be provided.
